Pinterest is seriously a hidden gem for those looking to drive traffic to their website or virtual storefront. If you’re not taking advantage of it already, you have got to start marketing your business on Pinterest!
You don’t need a blog to use Pinterest
It doesn’t matter what type of business you own.. Pinterest will benefit you. Uploading pins for blog content, product releases, upcoming sales, and discount codes are all great ways to gain website traffic. Pinterest is beneficial for any business type
I’ve stressed the importance of social media for business owners, but I focused on marketing on Facebook and Instagram. While those platforms are awesome, content on Pinterest is much more ever-green. A mental health geared pin I created in August of 2020 continues to be viral on Pinterest in March of 2021. Pinterest content doesn’t die off as quickly as Instagram and Facebook.
Use Pinterest to support other business owners
Pinterest growth is dependent on regularly providing users with fresh content. Pinterest is more likely to show your old pins to people when you’re regularly uploading new ones. It sounds crazy, but that is the easiest way to stay on the good side of the algorithm. If you can’t think of any content to upload for yourself, you can always support other business owners by re-pinning their content! I pin small business content on my Pinterest, and I’d love to have other business owners join my group board and upload their content as well. Being on a group board shows your pins on the profiles of everyone that is a collaborator on the board.
For extra exposure, re-pin content from the group board to individual boards on your Pinterest profile. You can be what drives a customer to a fellow small business owner. Marketing on Pinterest is a great way for Spouse-ly sellers to to spread the word about themselves as well as the other military families that provide products and services on the site.
